Convolvulus erubescens - Native Bindweed.
Perennial climber with trailing and twining stems and pink flower.
convolvulus - Latin for little twister;
rubescere - Latin: to grow red.
Seen here winding around dry grass stems as it creeps along the ground in the dry summer of 2002/03. (Dec.'02) This second photograph (below) taken in October 2003 on the same hill.
